Syncing Yahoo Business Emails

Yahoo Business emails require a special step to approve SMTP syncing in Close.

First, log into your Yahoo Bizmail account.

Then follow these instructions to create an app password.

Next, log into Close.com and navigate to Settings > Accounts & Apps > + Add Account in the top-right. Select “Custom email” & enter your email address and fill in the fields as follows:

SMTP Host: smtp.bizmail.yahoo.com
SMTP Username: [Insert your email address]
SMTP Password: [Insert your new "app password"]

IMAP Host: imap.mail.yahoo.com
IMAP Username: [Insert your email address]
IMAP Password: [Insert your new "app password"]

click Save and this should indicate you’ve correctly set up syncing. It may take a few hours for a full initial sync to complete.
