Verify Your Email Address
Close requires every user to verify their login email address. Verification confirms you own the address you log in with and helps us keep spam and abuse off the platform.
Until your email is verified, your account is read-only. You can log in and view everything (leads, contacts, activities, reports), but you can’t create, edit, or delete anything. Sending an email, logging a call, updating a lead, or changing a setting will fail until you verify.
How to verify your email
When you sign up, we send a verification email to your login address. Open it and click the verification link.
If you didn’t verify during signup, Close shows a banner at the top of the app with a button to resend the verification email. The banner stays visible, and your account stays read-only, until you verify.
Didn’t get the email?
Check your spam or junk folder first, and search your inbox for an email from Close. If it’s not there, click the resend button in the banner. You can request a new verification email every 2 minutes.
If the email still doesn’t arrive, your login address may be misspelled or unable to receive mail. You can change your login email under Settings > Your Account Settings, and we’ll send a fresh verification link to the new address. See Account Settings for details.
If none of that works, reach out to support@close.com and we’ll help you get verified.
What about the API and integrations?
Requests made with existing API keys are not blocked, so your integrations keep working even if the key’s owner hasn’t verified their email. Creating a new API key does require a verified email.
Inviting teammates
Users you invite to your organization verify their email as part of accepting the invitation. If a teammate sees the verification banner or gets a “verify your email” error when making changes, they should follow the steps above with their own login address.
