While we do not offer a full integration with WhatsApp, we do offer some ways to enhance your WhatsApp outreach and make it easier to populate this important communication data point into Close.

Use your Close internal number as a WhatsApp number.
Once you buy your Close internal number in Settings > Phone & Voicemail > + Add, you can go into your WhatsApp app in your mobile and use it to log in.
Once you add your number into WhatsApp, it will try to send you a verification code via SMS. Your Close internal number is unable to receive this code via SMS. However, if you wait for two minutes, you will be given the option to receive a call with the code. Select this call option and be ready (logged into your Close Desktop App) to take the call and write down the verification code.
After you verify your number, you will already have use of it in your mobile. Now, go to web.whatsapp.com in your computer (on any web browser) - or download WhatsApp app for computers - and link your device (computer) to your WhatsApp account.
At this time, you have WhatsApp on your mobile and your computer (linked device) with your Close internal number. Now, let's speed up your outreach by creating an Integration Link in Close!
Create your WhatsApp Integration Link
This integration link will allow you to - with one click - open up a conversation with your Contact using WhatsApp in your computer.
To create it go to Settings > Integration Links > Add a new integration link, and create it as a Contact type, as shown below.
After this is done, go into one of your Contacts in Close (make sure they have a phone number), click (...), and WhatsApp Web, as shown below.
By doing so, you will be taken directly to web.whatsapp.com (or to your WhatsApp computer app), with a chat already opened with the Contact you selected in Close.
Now you have this speedy link to reach out to your Close Contacts in WhatsApp!
Bring your WhatsApp comms into Close using a Custom Activity
Currently, there is no automated way to bring your comms into Close for we do not have a full integration with WhatsApp (yet!).
However, here is how we recommend you bring those communications into Close.
