Account Settings
Profile & Two-Factor Authentication
Set your name, country, login email address, and reset your password in your account settings. Your name will be associated with all of the activities you make to a lead, such as any lead communication, writing Notes, and creating Tasks.
Country Settings
The country selected in your settings will affect the phone numbers you dial. The country code associated with your selected country will be automatically added to each phone number to your leads. For example, selecting Germany will add +49 to each phone number. This also impacts import files; any phone numbers without the country code designation (‘+’) will have the default country code from Account Settings added.
The email address that is added on this page is only used for logging in and can be updated at any time. Any email addresses that you want to send and receive emails from in Close should be added as a Connected Account under Settings > Accounts & Apps. Read more on syncing your emails here.
Setting up Two-Factor Authentication
Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a way of adding additional security to your account. 2FA requires you to enter an extra code when you log in or perform some account-sensitive action (e.g. changing your password). The code is generated from an application on your computer or mobile phone.
By default, you’ll be sent a login code to your email address when you log in. You can increase your account security by enabling Two-Factor Authentication.
To enable 2FA for your account you will need an application that manages 2FA codes, such as Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password. Note: We don't support 2FA over SMS.
Select Enable, and then the wizard will generate a QR code on your screen. Open the app you intend to use, and scan the QR code on your screen. Once completed successfully, 2FA will be active on your Close account, and you’ll be asked to enter in the 2FA code from your app each time you log into Close.
To disable your 2FA, select Disable. You will be asked for the verification code one more time to fully remove 2FA from your account.
Appearance
Under Settings > Appearance, set Close to be light mode, dark mode, or match your system default.
Memberships
Each of the organizations you belong to will be shown in a list view. Additionally, any organizations your team has created but you have not joined could also be shown here if that organization has enabled a trusted domain (such as @close.com). This means you can join those organizations at will, or request to join.
