      Unbounce

        Article Summary

Collect leads from beautiful forms using Unbounce ’s vast library of templates and automatically create a lead in Close whenever there is a new form submission. The form fields can be mapped with different lead fields, so all lead data collected from the form can be imported into the lead in Close.

In this example, we’ll show you how to create a Lead in Close when a form submission is filled through Unbounce.

        What you’ll need

        • A Close account and your API key
        • A Zapier account that allows multi-step zaps
        • An Unbounce account
Create lead in Close when new form is submitted in Unbounce

Step 1 - New Form Submission in Unbounce

In the first step, you can authorize your Unbounce account under the "Choose account " section:

You can then select the webpage that you would like to trigger the Lead creation into Close. In this example, I’ll be using a webinar registration landing page.

Step 2 - Find or Create Lead in Close

Now we can set up the “Find Lead” action event in Close. First, Zapier will search for the Lead in Close to see if it already exists. If the Lead doesn’t exist in Close, it will be created.

You can search for the Lead in Close using the data provided from the Unbounce form. I’ll be searching for a Lead match by email, but you could also select a phone number or the Company name.

Now that we have set up the search portion, we can configure the next part of the action event - creating the Lead in Close if no match is found. To do this, select the “Create Close Lead if it doesn’t exist yet? ” box and fill in the necessary fields with data from the Unbounce form:

Once you have finished adding the data, you can run a test action. If the Zap works as expected, turn it on and you’re good to go!
