# Restricted User role

## Restricted User

Each plan includes the predefined role below. The Restricted User role is a default role and may be assigned to any user. However, it may not be edited or modified.

**Restricted Users do not have access to many Close features.**

Restricted Users can use Close for core work, including managing their own records and communication. They can also delete their own opportunities, tasks, and activities.

Restricted Users **cannot** do higher-risk or admin-style actions like:

- Bulk importing, bulk emailing, exporting, merging leads, or deleting leads
- Managing organization settings, roles, or customizations

The Restricted User role **can**:

- Modify/delete own opportunities, activities, and tasks
- Call, send SMS, and use the Dialer
