# Single Sign-On (SSO) with Google

> Sign up and log in to Close with your Google account using Single Sign-On (SSO), and set up a password login alongside Google SSO.

Google Single Sign-On allows you to sign in seamlessly with your Google account, eliminating the hassle of remembering another password. It enhances security and streamlines the task of managing user access within your organization.

Instead of using a regular email/password combination you can [sign up](https://app.close.com/signup/) and [log in](https://app.close.com/login/) Close using **Sign Up with Google** / **Log in with Google**.

Regardless of the way you'll sign up/log into Close, make sure to [enable 2FA](/account-management/enabling-2fa) on your account.

## Profile images

Close pulls a user's profile image from Gravatar using the email address associated with their Close account.

If you sign in via Google SSO, Close uses your Google account's profile photo instead - this takes precedence over Gravatar.

> **Other SSO providers**
>
> At the moment we don't support other SSO providers such as Auth0 or Okta.

## Set up password login alongside SSO

Accounts created via Google SSO don't have a Close password by default. Until you set one, you won't be able to use the "current password" field (it won't accept a value).

If you set up your account to use SSO, you can set up a email/password login combination by going to your **Settings > Account > Set Password...**

You'll need to provide your email address to get the new password link.

Once set, you can log in using either SSO or email/password combination, and, optionally, change your email altogether.

> **Close login email address ≠ Email syncing email address**
>
> Email used for your Close login has nothing to do with your email syncing accounts which are defined under your [Settings > Accounts & Apps](/feature-guide/emailing/email-configuration).
